health is the greatest gift
Dr. Ray graduated Cum Laude from Cleveland Chiropractic College in Kansas City, Mo., in 2001, with a Doctorate in Chiropractic and BS in Science. She operated her own private practice in Nashville, Tennessee for ten years before moving to DFW in 2011. Dr. Ray is constantly reading and training in the best treatment protocols for musculoskeletal injuries and pain. Training covers areas in soft-tissue and myofascial techniques, nutrition, pediatric and sports related areas.
Raised in Lake of the Ozarks, Missouri, Dr. Ray was an avid water-skier. She was a high school basketball and track and field elite athlete, earning a track and field scholarship to the University of Missouri-Columbia to train for the heptathlon. Career ending injuries shaped Dr. Ray’s future professional pursuits and have given her a desire to help the injured at any age regain their health and function.
Dr. Ray and her husband enjoy time with their two boys doing all things outdoors, especially a new found love of Geocaching. Gardening in Texas is trickier than in Tennessee, but is a passion, and advice is always welcome from those with a green thumb.

CHIROPRACTIC CAREWe provide the most advanced chiropractic and musculoskeletal techniques available. Dr. Hoyt uses the latest methods for spinal and soft tissue treatment to allow the body to function at an optimal level.
SOFT TISSUE THERAPYWith Soft Tissue Therapy, we utilize advanced “HANDS ON” techniques that establish correct posture and body mechanics. We use treatments that work WITH, not against, the natural functions of the body to promote healing and relieve pain while educating our patients to understand why their injury occurred and how to prevent it recurring.
SPORTS INJURIESSports Injuries can be extremely frustrating for any athlete. Often times this fascially based injury arises from acute trauma and tends to accumulate over time if not corrected. Hoyt Chiropractic has treated ankle sprains, shin splints, hamstring pulls and many others with great success!
Chronic pain and injury refers to the sort of physical injury, illness, or disease that develops slowly and is persistent, long-lasting, or constantly recurring over time. Many chronic injuries have mild symptoms and low-grade pain that are often ignored or simply overlooked for months or even years. Ignoring such mild aches and pains can lead to a persistent chronic injury that may be difficult to heal.
Decompression therapy is a modern, high tech, non-surgical traction procedure that effectively treats disabling low back, neck, and radiating leg and arm pain. This type of traction is very successful in relieving pain associated with disc herniation, degenerative discs, and posterior facet syndromes, due to decompression of spinal discs and facet joints by utilizing traction, distraction and positioning. This therapy effectively enhances the healing process and renders quick, effective and amazing pain relief that enables most patients to return to a more active lifestyle.
Therapeutic kinesiology tape that can benefit a wide variety of musculoskeletal and sports injuries, plus inflammatory conditions.
To complement and enhance the healing effects of specific Chiropractic adjustment treatments, we at Hoyt Chiropractic & Sports Therapy also provide the following physiological therapeutic procedures:
Nutrition is a very important part of a healthy, active lifestyle. At Hoyt Chiropractic & Sports Therapy we let you know which foods, supplements and vitamins are best for your overall health. Dr. Jared Hoyt provides a structured nutritional program to meet your goals.
Our posture has a lot to do with your health and well-being. The screening can uncover issues with your sitting and standing posture. Everything from body pain, back pain, neck pain and even headaches can be a result of bad posture. We will help you discover and practice good posture to leave you with a healthy body.
CORRETIVE EXERCISESWe teach the patients exercises that are designed to help strengthen the body and prevent future problems. Some of these exercises are specifically designed so patients can correct some of their unique issues on their own without chiropractic treatment. These exercises are designed to improve your overall health and quality of life.
LIFESTYLE ADVICEOften patients perform daily tasks that cause long-term problems such as tennis elbow, sore necks or misaligned spines. We help coach patients and give advice on how to perform certain tasks differently to avoid future problems and aggravation. Our goal is to make the patient achieve a happy lifestyle while enjoying their daily activities without sacrifice. We not only treat the problem, we treat the whole patient.

During your initial consultation, you will meet one of our doctors to discuss your issues, goals and overall health. We will let you know if you can benefit from chiropractic care and if so, we will discuss your potential treatment options and timeline to reach your goals.
We will perform a full chiropractic examination. During this exam, we will check flexibility, reflexes, as well as perform orthopedic, neurological, postural and physical tests. At Hoyt Chiropractic & Sports Therapy, we will get consent before anything is performed in our office.
Several conditions require x-rays to determine the cause or severity of your underlying problem. X-rays will help us diagnose the seriousness of your condition and help determine the necessary treatment plan. X-rays often show misalignments and degenerative conditions
Once the initial consultation and exam is complete, we will discuss our findings with you, discuss possible treatment options as well as answer any questions you may have.
Your treatment will begin after the Report of Findings. Your treatment includes chiropractic adjustments, soft tissue therapy (Facial Distortion Model), and other physical therapies.
The goal of Hoyt Chiropractic & Sports Therapy is not only to treat current pain or problems, but also to prevent future issues. At the end of your initial appointment, you may be introduced to a wellness program that you can perform at home. This may include proper ice or heat application, exercises, stretches or avoiding certain activities or positions. The goal of the wellness program is to instill proper posture, healthy eating, weight control, and overall long-term patient health. There are three general phases of chiropractic care:
If you are experiencing pain, our first goal is to relieve any discomfort you may have. Depending on the cause of your discomfort, you may need multiple treatments lasting from 1 week to 4-12 weeks. Conditions may vary from muscle spasms, tennis elbow or lower back pain. Phase 1 of treatment is to treat the immediate pain or discomfort a patient is experiencing. This may require daily visits per week for 4-12 weeks. Many patients wait to visit a chiropractor until they experience pain. However, pain is a very poor indicator of patient health. Usually an underlying issue goes through several phases of physical breakdown before pain becomes apparent. Usually pain only shows up when a condition becomes advanced.
The corrective phase of treatment, we will focus on getting your muscles and other tissues working properly to prevent further injury or pain. Depending on the unique severity of your problem, treatment can range to just a few sessions or 4-8 times per month for 6-24 months.
Once your body is fully recovered, it’s important to have a physical tune-up, so to speak. To prevent any future injuries or discomfort, many of our patients will have preventative treatment sessions ranging from 1-4 times a month.
